Intro to Sewing for Kids (Ages 8-12): 4-Part Series (Part 1)*

March 1 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

REGISTRATION & THE WAITING LIST HAVE BEEN FILLED FOR THIS PROGRAM

This is Part 1 of a 4-Part Series: the same participants attend all parts

Come join us as we dive into learning about the parts of a sewing machine.   All students will get comfortable sewing straight lines, measuring and cutting fabric as we make a bookmark and small stuffed toy.  This program is for children ages 8-12 years old.

  • Space is limited and registration is required to attend.  Prioritization is given to Old Bridge residents due to limited spots.  Please have your LMxAC library card number available.
  • Please only sign up if you can attend all 4 sessions from 6:30 – 8:00 pm: 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22

Registration will open 2 weeks before the start date, on 2/16 at 10:00 am.  At that time, this Google Form will become available to fill out.  Submitting the form DOES NOT guarantee that you have a spot as preference will be given to those who can attend all class dates, have an LMxAC library card, and who are Old Bridge residents.

A parent/guardian must sign and return a Liability Waiver on behalf of their child prior to the first session.  Waivers are available at the information desk.  In accordance with the library’s Youth Services Policy, a caregiver must remain at the library for children who are under 14 years of age.

Participants are required to bring the following items: 4 Fat Quarters

A Fat Quarter is a quarter-yard cut of fabric that measures approximately 18″ x 22″. This makes it wider than the typical quarter-yard cut, which is long and thin at 9″ x 44″
