*CANCELLED* Second Saturday Concert Series: “Ragtime” Jack Radcliffe

April 8, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

CANCELLED

The Old Bridge Public Library welcomes back “Ragtime” Jack Radcliffe as part of its Second Saturday Concert Series on April 8 at 1:00 p.m. .

His last Old Bridge appearance was over four years ago when he wowed audiences with his unique blend of musical artistry and wit. Jack is back with new songs and stories.

‘Ragtime’ Jack Radcliffe has been performing for more than 45 years. He is a master of traditional country blues and stride piano, and a powerful singer/songwriter, as well.

Jack was inducted into the Old-Time Music Association Hall of Fame in 2014.

What others have said:

“An imaginative and expressive right hand over a powerfully rhythmic and energetic left.”

–John Wilson, The New York Times

“When Jack sits down at the piano, you don’t need a time machine. The world goes into a fugue state, James P. Johnson and Fats Waller emerge from the Other Side, and Jack converses with them in an idiom it takes a lifetime to learn. Judging by the recent spate of new old jazz he’s been making up, I think he’s just about got it!”

– Andy Cohen, singer, music historian, and finger-picking guitarist extraordinaire

“Jack’s the undisputed master of country blues piano.”

– Larry Johnson, blues legend

“‘Ragtime’ Jack Radcliffe tackles one of the most difficult styles on this planet, and comes up in spades.”

– Big Earl Sellar, The Green Man Review

The Old Bridge Library located at 1 Old Bridge Plaza at the corner of Route 516 and Cottrell Road in the Municipal Center. For more information, visit www.oldbridgelibrary.org or call 732-721-5600, ext. 5033.
