Old Bridge, NJ – March 15, 2017 – Following the popularity of its first Comic Con, the Old Bridge Public Library will host another on Sat. April 1st, once again appealing to comic and anime fans of all ages.
The convention will run from 11am – 4pm and will be a library-wide fandom event, celebrating all aspects of comic pop culture. Program highlights include an appearance by Pokemon voice actress Michele Knotz, and a screening of the short film Jedi Club with a question and answer session with director Casey Webb. In addition, there will be a Cosplay contest (i.e, performance art in which participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea), an artist alley, gaming, trivia, fan meet-ups and much more. A complete schedule, updates and guest bios will be available at http://obplcc.tumblr.com.
“With the continued popularity of the Comic Con culture, we’re excited to sponsor this event again for the local community,” noted Library Director Nancy Cohen. “Our first event in 2015 was enthusiastically received, and we are pleased to offer the same type of activities as at the big Comic Con exhibitions in major cities that many are not able to attend.”
