Old Bridge, NJ – Sept. 13, 2016 — The Old Bridge Public Library will offer a US Citizenship Preparation course in conjunction with Literacy New Jersey beginning Wed. Oct. 5th.
The 10-week class will run through December 14 from 6-8pm, with no class on Wed. Nov. 23rd. The course will cover practice questions from the US Citizenship Test, will instruct attendees on how to complete the N-400 application, and teach key words and phrases used on the test and in the oral interview.
In-person registration is required at the Old Bridge Public Library on Wed. Sept. 28th from 5-7:30pm.
Literacy New Jersey is dedicated to working with adults who require assistance with reading, writing, math and speaking English, with particular focus on those who need help at the most basic levels. Along with citizenship classes, they also offer GED classes. In addition to providing direct instruction in eight counties (Union, Middlesex, Mercer, Burlington, Gloucester, Sussex, West Hudson and Ocean) Literacy New Jersey also provides technical, managerial, monetary and advocacy support to affiliate organizations throughout the state.
The Old Bridge Public Library was recently voted “Best Public Library in Middlesex County” by the readers of the Home News Tribune. The Library is open seven-days-a-week and is located at 1 Old Bridge Plaza at the corner of Rt. 516 and Cottrell Road in the Municipal Center.
