Old Bridge, NJ – April 2, 2019 – The Old Bridge Public Library will welcome Linda Ipanema and the Dixie Cats for a concert featuring 1930s and 40s swing and big band favorites on Sat. April 13th at 2:30pm.
As part of the Library’s Second Saturday Concert Series, the six-person band will take a stroll down memory lane, performing popular songs from the Andrew Sisters, Sophie Tucker, Fats Waller and Cab Calloway. Formed in 1994, the band features some of the best Dixieland players in the Metropolitan area, with a rhythm section and three horns (trumpet, clarinet, and trombone). A lifelong entertainer, Ipanema has performed in major clubs, festivals and outdoor concerts in New York City and the Metropolitan area, as well as Atlantic City, Washington DC, Delaware, North Carolina and Florida.
