Old Bridge, NJ – April 12, 2018 – The Old Bridge Public Library is joining forces with Old Bridge resident and stroke survivor Tom Smith to offer a Stroke and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Support Group, beginning Thursday, April 19th at 6:30pm.

Going forward, the group, known as MOVE, will meet at the Library on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30pm. It will offer guest speakers, exercise tips and counseling for those affected by these debilitating illnesses, along with their caregivers.

Smith, a top comic book illustrator for over 20 years and a ballroom dance aficionado, suffered a major stroke nearly four years ago which changed his life. He found that a positive outlook, combined with dance and exercise, have been instrumental in his recovery. He developed the MOVE program to help others move more effectively and freely following a stroke or TBI.
