For accessing remotely, follow the steps below.  Access is available directly when at the library in-person.

Step 1: Access Code

Get a 24-hour remote access code by clicking on the library’s link here
You won’t have to request another code until after the 24 hours has passed.

The code link and more information about online access to The New York Times can be found on our website under the “Resources” tab.  Selecting “Digital Newspapers” will bring you to a list of our online news resources.  Click on “Learn More” to be brought to The New York Times access code page.

Step 2: Create/Select an Account

After getting your redemption code, click on “REDEEM,” and then you can enter an email address to create an account, or login with a Google, Facebook, or Apple account.

 

Step 3: Confirm Access

Receive confirmation from NYT of the valid access code.  This will either be emailed to you or shown on the screen. 

Step 4: Newsletter Subscriptions

You have the option of selecting newsletters that you would like to receive from The New York Times (click on plus sign).  Otherwise, you can opt out by de-selecting the newsletters displayed (click on check-mark).

Step 5: Visit nytimes.com

To access The New York Times at any point over the next 24 hours, you can go directly to nytimes.com and login to your account.  Once your access code expires (after 24 hours), you can go back to the library’s link to get a new access code.
